πŸ‘ We are proud of every one of you!

A special thank you again to Eli Mundy for sorting and judging our show. With a large number of animals and August temperatures to contend with, Eli did a fantastic job and stayed with us through it all. We greatly appreciate his time and expertise!

πŸ‘ Tomorrow at 7:00 PM: We’re moving on to our SHEEP SPOTLIGHT. We are especially excited to celebrate our first-ever Randolph County 4-H sheep show!

πŸ†πŸ‚πŸ‘πŸ 2026 Randolph County 4-H Livestock Show: Showmanship Spotlight! πŸπŸ‘πŸ‚πŸ†

What an incredible weekend for Randolph County 4-H earlier this month! On August 7 & 8, we welcomed 105 exhibitors to the Randolph County 4-H Livestock Show at the James River Equipment Arena at the Randolph County, NC Agricultural Center, and we couldn't be more proud of the hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship displayed in the show ring!

We’re kicking off a series of posts this week celebrating our exhibitors and sharing the results from this year’s show. Each evening at 7:00 PM, we’ll spotlight a different part of the show, so be sure to follow along, tag your 4-H friends, and share these posts with your family and friends!

Tonight, we’re starting with one of the most important parts of the show: SHOWMANSHIP! πŸ†

Showmanship is about so much more than the animal in the ring. It’s about preparation, confidence, knowledge, patience, and the ability to work as a team with your animal. We are incredibly proud of every 4-H member who stepped into the ring!

⚑ D) The Mad Scientist: "We're mixing pickles, ranch, and chocolate and nobody can stop us."

Drop your letter in the comments! πŸ‘‡

Our 4-H’ers officially have the greenest thumbs in town! During our Stuck on You workshop, participants let their creativity bloom by painting custom plant pots before diving into the fascinating science of plants. After potting their vibrant succulents, the group headed into the greenhouse for a hands-on propagation lab. Under the instruction of our horticulture agent, our young botanists explored how to grow brand-new life from simple cuttingsβ€”mastering the unique multiplication techniques for rose plants, snake plants, and pothos. It was a day full of art, plant science, and dirt-covered hands!

Our 4-H'ers loaded up the van one last time for our last field trip ( ) to the Kernersville Reptile Zoo. We learned so much about our reptilian friends and even had the chance to hold an alligator as well as a ball python. All of our kiddos agreed that this should be included in next year's summer line-up.
