Youth OutRight We envision a world where youth of all gender and sexual identities are empowered to reach their full potential. Founded in 2006, Youth OUTright WNC, Inc.

(YO) is the only youth advocacy and leadership non-profit organization in the region solely dedicated to empowering lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning/queer, intersex, asexual and allied (LGBTQIA+) youth ages 11-20 in Western North Carolina. We provide information, support and resources in a safe, inclusive and affirming environment. We believe that no youth – regardless of their sex

ual identity, gender expression or gender identification – should be bullied, harassed or discriminated against because of who they are or are perceived to be. Based on 2010 U.S. Census figures, it is estimated that there could be more than 4,000 LGBTQ youth in our 18-county region.

This week at Youth OUTright 📣🤠

On Wednesday from 3-6pm, we'll have a youth-led disability justice workshop! Come learn a bit about the history of disability rights and make a vision board for a more accessible future! Open to q***r, questioning, and allied youth ages 11-18. Dinner is provided. You will not wanna miss this one!

On Thursday, we're open for drop-in as usual, AND for all you volunteers and supporters out there, we'll be having a prom decor build day at 27 Balm Grove Ave from 3-7pm! Come help create the incredible vibe for this year's q***r prom! 💫

We're looking forward to a fun springtime week here at YO!

On Monday - Intergenerational drop-in per usual at the center. 3-6pm ages 11-24.

On Tuesday - Constellations! BIPOC youth ages 11-24 who are LGBTQ, allied, and/or questioning, we are gathering at Southside Community Farm (133 Livingston St.) to learn about farming, herbalism, and relationship with land. Food provided!

On Wednesday - In collaboration with Brevard Rock Gym, we are hosting a day of rock wall climbing and pizza fun! 3pm, for youth ages 11-18.

On Thursday - Emote Clothes Swap! Woot Woot! Prom-aged youth, join us from 3-6 at Emote (444 Haywood Rd) for a prom clothing swap. There will be a selection of free items, plus the entire store is 50% off for youth during this event. AND we're still accepting clothing donations til Thursday, drop-off at Emote.
