OK Folks so we are opening tomorrow 04-14-2015 from 10-5pm. And then again this coming weekend. ANYONE WANTING TO MINE NEEDS TO HURRY ON OUT. We may have to relocate the mine very soon so please come out and enjoy our setup before we have to break it down. Try and find that one last treasure before tax day hits. Please come out and see us. We will be open rain or shine.

I just wanted to apologize to any of our patrons who have tried to come by or call the mine recently. My Daughter and her Mum were hit by a drunk driver a few weeks ago and I have been very busy since then. Several other bad things decided to all happen at the same time but that is life. When it rains it pours, right? Well,That just means we will have a great Spring and an awesome 2015!! Always keep looking up folks. It makes life much better/easier:-) My daughter's injuries were pretty bad and she had to stay in the hospital for a few days but GOD kept her, her mother and my buddy Ben alive and for that I am very Grateful. Thank You GOD:-) I love You!!
We should be opening the mine in the middle of April. Weather and City Government permitting. Our business phone (828)650-3006 will be back up and running at that time. Until then feel free to call. No one will answer but if you leave a message we will get back to you as soon as we can.
I also want to say thank you for all the thoughts and prayers. My friends and family have been so awesome during this and I just cannot thank you all enough.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone. I am thankful for all of you that have made the Old Hope Gem Mine possible. Tremendously thankful for George, Chris, Vicki, Brenda and one more Chris, without them none of this dream would have been possible. Thanks God, Thanks guys & girls and again Happy Thanksgiving, God bless and we look forward to seeing you at the mine.

Things are going good at the Old Hope Gem Mine. We are having lots of new faces come by. We hope to see yours soon. $20 and $60 Sapphire buckets along with International mix of moonstone, amethyst, hematite, sapphire and rose quarts. Hope to see you soon.

Saw some beautiful hematite on Tuesday. If anyone has material they would like to see at our mine please email us and we will work on acquiring some. Right now we are looking for local rough ruby, emerald, amethyst and sapphire. We will be open today from Noon until 5:00.
