Continuing to Learn. Continuing to Serve.

On Tuesday, August 25, Mayor Blake Rosenkoetter, Mayor Pro Tem Gary Gibson, and Councilman Brian McCraney attended Local Government Training in Saraland, AL.

Continuing education helps us grow as leaders, strengthen our knowledge, and bring new ideas back home. We are committed to continuing to learn and grow so we can serve the great City of Ashford to the best of our abilities.

And apparently, good leadership starts with a solid pair of brown shoes. 😂 We promise the matching footwear was not planned!

From Alabama Power

There are approximately 65 customers in the City of Ashford’s service territory that have been affected by the severe weather. We have a local lineman assigned to the outage and we hope to have power restored to everyone soon.

🚧 FIRST AVENUE ROAD CLOSURE | THURSDAY, AUGUST 20th.

First Avenue will be closed to through traffic from Old Highway 84 to Oak Street beginning at 8:00 AM on Thursday, August 20th.

Crews will be working in the area to remove trees, and the road will remain closed until the work is complete.

Please use an alternate route and use caution around crews working in the area.
