3 or more unexcused absence letters

Many students have 3 or more unexcused absences this year. We will send letters home with students today and tomorrow.Please remember that if your child misses all or part of the day, we need a doctor note or a parent note. Students are allowed 5 notes each semester. Send the note to the school and bring it to the office within 3 days of the student returning. We are proud to announce that Jayden Carroll, Sy’Ari Grace, and Logan Turvin have been selected to represent Ashford High School as members of Youth Leadership Dothan-Houston County’s Class 35!

This is an exciting accomplishment! The selection process is competitive and requires students to complete an extensive application and participate in an interview with the Youth Leadership Dothan-Houston County selection committee. We are proud of these students for taking the initiative to pursue this opportunity and for being selected to participate in this outstanding leadership program!

Through Youth Leadership Dothan, students build friendships with peers from different schools and backgrounds, gain behind-the-scenes insight into how our community works, connect with local business and community leaders, and explore future career and educational opportunities.

Most importantly, they will continue developing the confidence, communication, teamwork, and leadership skills that will serve them well in the future.

Help us congratulate Jayden, Sy’Ari, and Logan on this well-deserved honor! We look forward to watching them grow as leaders and represent Ashford High School with pride!

Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates the rich cultures, traditions, history, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities while promoting diversity, unity, and respect in our schools.

We would also like to extend a huge THANK YOU to all of the teachers, students, and Multicultural Club members who participated and helped make this activity such a fun and successful celebration!
