Ashland Fire Local 1386 International Association of Firefighters Local 1386, established 1853 We provide Fire & EMS service to the City of Ashland, Milton, and Montgomery Townships.

Established in 1853 the "Ashland Protection Fire Company No. 1" or "Citizens Relief Fire Company" is now known as the Ashland Fire Department. We became a chartered member of the International Association of Fire Fighters in August, 1960. We provide EMS service also for Orange Township. We provide reciprocal mutual aid to numerous Ashland County Volunteer Fire Department or Fire Companies. We service 96 square miles from one central station, responding to an average of 3,800 calls per year with an annual operating budget of 3.2 million dollars per year.

ALERT (10/10/26 8:15AM): There has been a major water main break within the City’s system, we ask that you please reduce water consumption for the next four hours as the City crew makes repairs. There is NO boil alert.

For the past four years, we have had the privilege of providing the official department photos for the Ashland Police Division. It truly has been an honor to document their members over the past few years and provide them with a visual history. This year, we added the Ashland Fire Local 1386 in the City of Ashland Ohio! These men were great to work with, and we were just as honored to document a chapter in their long, rich history! We would like to thank Abers Towing and Crane Service for inviting us to their Touch a Truck event today! This morning we were able to participate in a live auto extrication demonstration for those attending. This event allowed members of the public to see one of the numerous skills that your Ashland Firefighters train in for vehicle emergencies. It also allowed us to show case the relationship that the department has with our tow companies and how valuable an asset that our tow companies are! Thank you again for the invite and those that came out to see the demonstration!
