Such a wonderful program! And this year, 100% of the Pre K students at AES passed their Mississippi Department of Education early learning assessment! This is a huge accomplishment and our teachers at our pre-K6 school are doing some amazing things! Get signed up!

Ashland High School never forgets our own. Today Zay Moore, Xa’Zavion’s cousin, painted Xa’Zavion on a ceiling tile for his final exam in art 1. Xa’Zavion was a former student and community member , who passed away earlier this school year. Now, he is forever memorilized in this amazing work of art in one of our classrooms. Zay is pictured here with the artwork and with Montrell, the brother of the deceased. Our hearts go out to the family at this time, and it is Zay's hope that this memorial will help to comfort all those who loved Xa’Zavion.

We wrapped up Teacher Appreciation Week feeling full, thankful, and incredibly loved by this community! 💙🍎

After a long week of state testing, our teachers and staff truly needed the encouragement, support, and kindness that was poured into them all week long. We are beyond grateful to everyone who helped make this week so special!

Final Day Shout-Outs:

🥞 Macedonia Baptist Church for a wonderful breakfast featuring chicken biscuits, assorted donuts, and drinks to help our staff start the day strong!

🍽️ Canaan Baptist Church for an AMAZING lunch spread that had everyone going back for seconds! From turnip green soup, cornbread, green beans, corn, chicken spaghetti, lasagna, slaw, deviled eggs, roasted potatoes, rolls, and tea cake cookies — every bite was made with love and deeply appreciated!

👏 A special thank you to Benton County Supervisors Chris Shoup, James Lowry, and Alonzo Tucker for helping provide snacks, extra supplies, plates, cutlery, and so many of the little things throughout the week that made a BIG difference!

To our teachers and staff: THANK YOU. Thank you for your patience, your dedication, your compassion, and the countless ways you impact students every single day. The work you do matters more than words can express.
