***Update! Our Travelling Memorial convoy will be downtown in about 10 minutes, or 11:45!***
By now, you probably know that this year's Ashland County Veterans' Appreciation Day will have the World War II, Korean, and Vietnam War traveling memorials on display this weekend, but before they're here, they have to get here, and they will get here by coming through downtown Ashland!
We hope you can join us in lining the streets of Ashland to welcome the memorials to town. They will be driven from Mansfield to Ashland on Thursday, August 6th, leaving Mansfield at approximately 11 a.m., then coming up 42 to Claremont, across Main Street, down Center Street, to Freer Field. We encourage any and all of you to join us anywhere along the route; bring your flags, and welcome these amazing monuments to our fallen military, as they come to Ashland.
Escorts for the memorials are also welcome; plan to meet at the Ohio State Reformatory, at State Route 545 and US 30 in Mansfield, at 10 a.m., then be part of the convoy bringing these memorials to Ashland.

(Yes, the Ashland County Veterans' Appreciation Day is usually held at the Ashland County Airport; they had to move this year to accommodate the memorials.)
