REMINDER

Registration for All My Relations 2026-27 is now open! We are excited to see returning and new youth and families join on Zoom to complete art and cultural arts projects while build community.

Examples of past activities include necklace making, mini moccasin ornaments, paint nights, clay work, storytelling and more. All materials needed for virtual longhouse nights are sent to participants. All My Relations also focuses on creating a strong community of Native youth and supportive household members.

This program is funded by grants and private gifts and there is no cost to participate, but we do ask that you ONLY SIGN-UP HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS WHO WILL USE THE SUPPLIES so we can support as many families as possible.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES (THE ORGANIZING FUN IS SEEN BELOW) ARE BEING SHIPPED MONDAY FOR FAMILIES WHO HAVE REGISTERED.

What an incredible week we had with these Indigenous youth! Many thanks to the instructors who offered variety of classes in subjects of Native Law, personal finance, beading, community organizing, Native Film, creative writing, theatre, Lego robotics and more. Additionally students enjoyed at show at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, cultural arts, rec time and of course, the lip sync contest.

Last night, Konaway and BYSI took over the Oregon Shakespeare Festival Greenshow lawn to rock with Glenn M GS and the Six String Guillotine band. As an Afro- Indigenous artist, Glenn truly inspired the youth with both his music and his words.

So many thanks to OPB, Robin and Liz, for sharing special showings of Guardians of the Land and The First Descent to our students. The films were fantastic but the engaging conversation after was very inspiring.

We had an incredible day at Vesper Meadows with our Konaway students. Completed a wild flower scavenger hunt, get to know you bingo and learned rock and fist, painted birds and butterflies to add to the mural, played stick game, practiced a round dance song, participated in a Konaway survivor obstacle course and watched the senior counselors figure out a giant puzzle, and made our Konaway necklace.
It was a beautiful day in a beautiful place. Big thanks to Konaway alum Stasie Maxwell for hosting us!

We are excited to invite our community to join OPB producer Jessie Sears (Karuk) for a special screening and celebration of the film "First Descent: Kayaking the Klamath." The film follows a group of 28 Indigenous kayakers who paddle the entire 300-mile Klamath River to become the first to descend the free-flowing river after the removal of four dams.

July 12, Varsity Theatre, 166 E Main St., Ashland, OR. Screenings at 1 and 3 PM.

Join us in congratulating Konaway alum Mary Elias (Akimel O'odham/Oglala Lakota) who graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor's degree in Animal Science. She is preparing to apply to veterinary school.
