🃏 FRO POKER RUN — NEED TO KNOW 🃏

The FRO Poker Run benefitting the Washington Fire Company #1 Equipment Fund is happening THIS WEEKEND at the Locust Gap & Ashland Trails!

📅 Friday, June 5 – Sunday, June 7, 2026
📍 Locust Gap & Ashland Trails
⏰ Event Ride: Saturday, June 6 • 8 AM – 4 PM

Here’s what you need to know before you arrive:

🏕️ Friday: Roll in, check in, and set up your camping area.
🃏 Saturday: Poker Run ride day through Locust Gap & Ashland.
🚛 Sunday: Pack up and roll out.

💵 PRICING
FRO Members: $30 per person | Ages 12 and up
FRO Non-Members: $60 per person | Ages 12 and up
Overnight Stay: Optional add-on — $35 per person for Friday and Saturday night

Get ready for a scenic and action-packed ride through the northern trail systems of Famous Reading Outdoors.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Washington Fire Company #1 Equipment Fund.

⚠️ SAFETY REMINDERS ⚠️
• Helmets and proper safety gear are required.
• Stay with the guided ride and follow all instructions from event staff.
• Ride at a safe speed and keep a safe distance from the rider in front of you.
• No reckless riding, spinning tires in parking/camping areas, or unsafe behavior will be tolerated.
• Stay on approved trails and event routes only.
• Respect other riders, volunteers, staff, and the surrounding communities.

🚨 NO NIGHT RIDING 🚨
All machines must be parked with engines off by 8:00 PM. No night riding is permitted. Security will be patrolling throughout the event. Anyone caught riding after hours may be removed from the event, banned from FRO property, and will not receive a refund.

This event supports a great local cause, and we want everyone to have a safe, smooth, and enjoyable weekend.

Bring your ATVs, UTVs, and dirt bikes — and come enjoy a full weekend of riding, camping, and supporting the Washington Fire Company!

Tonight the Hookies in conjunction with American Hose Co. #1 Ashland PA, Lavelle Volunteer Fire Company, and Gordon Fire Department, conducted a joint training session to review rural water supply, drafting, ladder pipe operations, and hose line advancement. Each department had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the equipment used in one another's standard operations. Thank you to everyone who participated tonight.

5/5/26 - Tuesday night training brought out Rescue 38-50 with the ropes again. Crews worked together utilizing our cmc clutch system with raising and lowering a victim over an embankment using the stokes basket. Crews used a straight up hoist system with a safety line attached then added another pulley to gain a mechanical advantage. 12 firefighters attended this training session.

4/21/26- The hookies training on Tuesday night consisted of using different stokes basket methods during rescues with the aerial Ladder 38-25. The crew also utilized the SKED rescue system to mobilize a person and descend down the aerial using our CMC Rescue clutch system. 10 members trained.

4/22/26- @13:00- Engine 38-15 attended a parade at the North Schuylkill School District for the Academic team

@14:30- Engine 38-15 responded to Big mine run on a 100 pound propane tank leak. The crew grabbed a hydrant and deployed one hand line while using a fog stream to put onto the tank while it vented. 5 members responded.

@18:24- Engine 38-15 responded to 819 W Centre street for an Automatic fire alarm, crews investigated and found a culinary incident. 6 members responded.

Last night at 8:19pm Ladder 38-25 was dispatched on a 2nd Alarm structure fire in Mount Carmel. Personnel assisted with fire suppression, master stream operations and ladder placement on the Delta side of the exposure building. Crews also assisted with units exiting the scene using LDH hose ramps. Ladder 38-25 remained on scene for approximately 3 hours. The Hookies had 14 members present.
