🐴🏆 Rocky Ridge Riders Shine at the State 4-H Horse Show! 🏆🐴

Earlier this month. Hanover 4-H was proudly represented by 9 youth from the Rocky Ridge Riders 4-H Club at this year’s State 4-H Horse Show! Our riders worked hard, represented Hanover well, and brought home some awesome placings. 💚🍀

🎉 Congratulations to:

🐴 Molly Ross — 2nd, 4th, and 7th place
🐴 Harper — two 1st places, 3rd place, and Grand Champion Walk/Trot Pony Pleasure! 🏆
🐴 Jewel Bruce — 4th, three 5th places, and 8th place
🐴 Ember Cassell — 1st place, two 4th places, and 6th Overall in the Horse Equitation Classic!
🐴 Camden Mecham — 4th, 6th, and 7th place
🐴 Melanie Smith — 2nd, 7th, and 10th place
🐴 Daphne Trivette — two 2nd places, 5th place, and 7th place
🐴 Kaylee Short — 6th and 8th place
🐴 Grace Dale — two 1st places, 2nd place, and 4th place

Unfortunately, we didn’t get our traditional group photo this year during the Parade of Units—but for a pretty great reason! Our group was busy watching and cheering on Grace as she competed in jumping! 🐎👏 Supporting one another is such an important part of 4-H, and we wouldn’t have wanted to be anywhere else. 💚🍀

We are so proud of all nine of our riders for their hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship! Congratulations to our Rocky Ridge Riders for a fantastic State 4-H Horse Show! 🐎💚🍀

A Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) Volunteer Manager, provides leadership in determining, implementing, and evaluating volunteer and donor programs under the supervision of the Extension Agents. The volunteers assist in program delivery for Agriculture and Natural Resource and 4- H Youth Development Programs and other community needs.

We will be accepting new campers until July 31st at 1:00pm.
A weekend overnight camp designed specifically for neurodivergent youth and youth with intellectual or cognitive differences.
