Due to numerous complaints about parking issues within the Borough of Ashland the following will be strictly enforced starting on Monday July 27, 2026.

In reference to abandoned vehicles: Ordinance 643 prohibits any vehicle with an expired inspection or expired registration to be parked on a Borough of Ashland street. Vehicles found to be in violation of this ordinance will be ticketed and towed with or without notice so please remove them from the street. Simply placing a cover or tarp over the vehicle does not fix the issue or change the outcome of this ordinance.

Also in reference to the ongoing parking issues Title 75 of the Vehicle Code Section 3354 states that you must be parked parallel to and with the right hand curb, or in the absence of a curb, as close as practical to the right edge of the right hand shoulder. This means NO PARKING BACKWARDS, the passenger side of the vehicle must be to curb. Parking tickets or even traffic citations will be issued for these violations.
