📚 FREE BOOKS & READING RESOURCES — RIGHT HERE IN BAILEY LAKES! 📚

Did you know there are several ways Bailey Lakes families can enjoy FREE books? We thought this would be a great time to remind everyone about a few wonderful resources available to our community!

❤️ Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Ohio

Children from birth to age 5 can receive a FREE, age-appropriate book mailed directly to their home every month through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Ohio! Check out the attached flyer for information about this wonderful program and how to enroll.

🏠 A quick tip for families who move: If your child is already enrolled, be sure to update your address directly with the Imagination Library of Ohio. The monthly books are not forwarded by the Post Office, so simply submitting a mail-forwarding request isn't enough.

📖 And don't forget our TWO little libraries in Bailey Lakes!

🔴 Little Free Library at “Lakeview Park” — located on Lake Drive. This is our community little library, stocked and cared for by neighbors. Take a book, leave a book! Please help us keep it stocked, tidy, and ready for the next reader. If you have books in good condition that you're ready to pass along, this is a wonderful way to share them with someone else.

💜 Ashland Public Library Little Library at “Ringler Park” — located at the corner of Highland Road and James Street. A big thank-you to the Ashland Public Library for providing this additional free reading resource for our village!

Whether you're picking out a bedtime story for a little one, finding something new for yourself, or passing along books you've already enjoyed, please take advantage of these free resources right here in our community.

And remember—our community Little Free Library works because neighbors share with neighbors. If you take a peek and notice it getting a little bare, consider adding a book or two. ❤️📚

📋 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING — MONDAY, AUGUST 10

The Village of Bailey Lakes will hold its next Regular Council Meeting on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Bailey Lakes Village Hall.

The meeting agenda is attached for public review.

💻 IT Training for Village Officials — 5:00 p.m.
Prior to the Regular Council Meeting, village officials will participate in IT training beginning at 5:00 p.m. This training is being conducted as part of the Village’s Cybersecurity Policy.

🇺🇸 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐀𝐍 𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐁𝐋𝐄 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊𝐄𝐍𝐃 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐘! 🇺🇸

We want to give a huge THANK YOU to the Ashland County Veteran Appreciation Committee and everyone involved in making this year’s Veterans Appreciation Day possible!

Bringing three incredible memorials to Ashland County for our community to experience — the WWII Memorial, Vietnam Wall/Cost of Freedom, and Korean War Memorial — is a phenomenal feat. The planning, coordination, work, volunteers, sponsors and countless hours behind an undertaking like this deserve tremendous recognition. ❤️🤍💙

If you have an opportunity this weekend, we encourage you to visit Freer Field and experience these memorials for yourself, along with all of the special events planned in honor of our veterans.

And please take a moment to thank the Veterans Appreciation Committee and everyone who helped make this possible! Whether you leave a comment here, on their page, or thank a volunteer in person, let them know that their efforts are noticed and appreciated.

Each year, volunteers from area churches come together to give their time, talents, and plenty of hard work to serve neighbors throughout the Crestview community; including right here in the Savannah/Bailey Lakes area.

We encourage everyone to check out their post and all the photos from today’s projects! There are a lot of helping hands behind the work you see. ❤️
