From ice storms to floods .....
Ball park in 1981 after several days of heavy rain.
I remember walking to my parent's house on New St. in water up to my knees.

More Time Machine - Recalls Ashley's Sweet Colonial Cake

Teacher Marie Shelton's class produced a "sweet" Bicentennial cake in May 1976 for a program at Ashley Schools.

Students from her class combined 143 cakes, each measuring 9x13 inches, to construct an American Colonial flag in honor of the nation's Bicentennial.

The cakes took 15 pounds of white sugar and 10 pounds of powdered sugar to bake. After the program, students, teachers, and parents enjoyed the cakes.
