The Angola Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Pamela Wakley.

Pamela was last seen at approximately 2:40 p.m. near Hobby Lobby.

Description:�• Approximately 5’5” tall�• Approximately 130 lbs�• Wearing a light green jacket with a dark stripe, black pants, and tennis shoes

# # # Felony Stalking Charge # # #

In late June, early July 2026 Ashley-Hudson officers responded to multiple reports of a person in the area of a specific house on Hardy St. Throughout the follow up investigation officers developed probable cause to believe the male, Jeremy M Rakestraw 37 of Angola, had committed level 6 felony Stalking. A report was submitted to the prosecutor's office for review.

An arrest warrant was then issued in August. Mr. Rakestraw was subsequently arrested in another county before being transported back to the Steuben County Jail. He is presumed to be innocent unless proven guilty in court.

# # # Felony OWI/Warrant Arrest # # #

On Sunday around 3:00 P.M. Ashley-Hudson officers observed a vehicle disregard a stop sign. During the subsequent traffic stop on the vehicle officers developed probable cause to believe the driver, Joseph D Brown 44 of Auburn, was operating while intoxicated. Officers also discovered he had active arrest warrants in two counties.

A search warrant was obtained to test Mr. Brown's blood after he refused implied consent. He was then charged with level 6 felony Operating while Intoxicated with a prior conviction, C misdemeanor Operating while intoxicated, A misdemeanor Driving while Suspended with a prior conviction as well as the arrest warrants alleging level 5 felony Possession of Methamphetamine, B misdemeanor Possession of Ma*****na, C misdemeanor Possession of Paraphernalia and level 5 felony Nonsupport of a Dependent with a prior conviction. He is presumed to be innocent unless convicted in court.

# # # Felony Residential Entry Arrest # # #

On Saturday July 11 just after 6:30 P.M. Ashley-Hudson officers were dispatched to a home in the 200 block of Hardy St in Hudson for a reported residential entry. The homeowner had called and reported a male who was previously trespassed from the residence entered the house without permission while no adults were home and was still inside the house.

Officers arrived on scene and after no response from inside forced entry into the house. Jeremy M Rakestraw, 37 of Angola, was found inside the house and quickly placed into custody. He was subsequently charged with level 6 felony residential entry, A misdemeanor criminal trespass entering a property after being denied entry and A misdemeanor criminal trespass refusing to leave a property after being told to. He is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court.

K9 Smoke is itching to tell everybody he passed his annual recertifications today. He is certified for another year in apprehensions/handler protection, narcotics detection, and tracking. What a very good boy he is!

# # # Felony Arrest # # #

On Saturday February 14 just before 3:30 P.M. Ashley-Hudson officers were dispatched to the 200 block of N Hardy St. Officers were told a female, Nancy N Bailey 41 of Hudson, had been repeatedly calling 911 and allegedly threatened a dispatcher. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with Ms. Bailey standing in the yard.

After speaking with Ms. Bailey and the dispatcher, officers placed Ms. Bailey into custody for intimidation. During this process officers discovered evidence of a no contact order violation. Ms. Bailey was transported to the Steuben County Jail and charged with level 6 felony Intimidation, A misdemeanor Unlawful Use of 911, level 6 felony Invasion of Privacy with a prior conviction and A misdemeanor Invasion of Privacy. She is presumed to be innocent unless proven guilty in court.
