🚨 Don’t Veer for Deer! 🚨
Every year, thousands of crashes happen when drivers swerve to avoid deer.

✅ Tips to Stay Safe:
👀Stay alert, especially at dawn & dusk.
⚠️Slow down in deer crossing areas.
🚘Use high beams when safe to spot animals sooner.
🤚Brake firmly but stay in your lane — don’t swerve!

Your best chance to avoid a crash is controlled braking, not swerving. 🦌💥

🎃 As your little ghouls and goblins head out in search of those full-size candy bars this week and weekend, remind them to stay away from open flames and jack-o’-lanterns lit with candles. 💡 Consider using glow sticks in your pumpkins instead — they make your candy portal safer and add an extra spooky glow!

🎃👻 October is here, and Halloween is just around the corner! While you’re busy planning costumes, decorations, and trick-or-treat fun, don’t forget one of the most important safety steps: testing and inspecting your smoke alarms.

🍬 The best treat you can give your family is peace of mind. A working smoke alarm provides an early warning in the event of a fire—saving precious time to escape.

🕯️ With candles, decorations, and extra activity this season, the risk of an accidental fire increases. Take just a few minutes today to test your smoke alarms and replace any broken or expired alarms!

✅ Test your alarms
✅ Replace any alarm that is 10 years old or older
✅ Remind your family about your fire escape plan

This October, don’t get tricked—make sure your smoke alarms are ready to treat you with safety all year long!

🚨 Drought Update & Fire Safety Reminder 🚨
The latest U.S. Drought Monitor shows Severe Drought conditions expanding across much of the state. Right now, 100% of the state is in drought or abnormally dry conditions.

🔥 With dry conditions comes higher fire risk. Please help prevent wildfires and field fires by:
🚫Avoiding outdoor burning.
🚭Properly disposing of ci******es.
🚗Keeping vehicles and equipment off dry grass.
🏡Having a defensible space around your home.

Together we can help reduce the risk while these conditions continue.
