Mills & Petrie Memorial Building -Library and Gymnasium Completed & Dedicated in 1936, the building was named in honor of two Civil War soldiers, Samuel F. Mills & Nathan A.

Petrie, who moved to Ashton after the war and left their legacy through the businesses they started & the money they left for the Village The building houses the public library, gymnasium, kitchen, Legion/Community Room, Village Hall and features plaques honoring local war veterans. Building Rental Fees for AFC Resident
Gym- $15 per hour up to 5 hours
5 hours or more is (all day rental) $100 day
Legion/Communtiy Room $25
Entry Way $20
Kitchen...$50
Stereo System $20
Deposits
$100 deposit for ALL day rentals and for groups over (100 people)
*other fees may apply for auctions and 2 day + use of the building
Non residents fees are slightly higher - $20 per hour and $125 for 5 or more hours. To reserves a date for the future - a $25 deposit is required - then the remainder of the fees are due 30 days prior to the event. Contact: Monetta and Rod Young @ 815-973-8397
