“Overnight House Fire”

Station 60 was dispatched @02:38 hrs on a 1st alarm for a reported house fire on the 100 block of Glendale Lake Road assisting Patton Fire.
Truck and Engine 60 responded with 9 members, on scene firefighters encountered a well involved building, our crews worked the interior suppression efforts on both the 1st floor and the walk out basement.
Engine 60 was tasked with water supply along with a number of other companies.

The Ashville Volunteer Fire Company has awarded two $1,000 scholarships through the Evelyn and Eugene Eyer Ashville Scholarship Fund. 🎓 The first two recipients of the scholarship are Maddison Lee and Zachery Novak. The Evelyn and Eugene Eyer Ashville Scholarship Fund was established at the Community Foundation to support members of the Ashville Volunteer Fire Company and their family members. The fund will provide a scholarship to students who are pursuing any type of post-secondary education and are a member of the fire company or a child, grandchild, niece, or nephew of a member of the fire company. The scholarship was established by CFA board member Robert Eyer in memory of his parents, Evelyn and Eugene Eyer. Congratulations Maddison and Zachery! 🎉
