This might be an unpopular opinion, especially within our line of work, but energy tax credits expiring could be exactly what this industry needs.

Our team has been part of residential solar since the beginning. In the early days, solar had a soul. It was about empowerment, homeowners taking control of their energy and feeling genuinely excited about it.

Then financing took over. The focus shifted from designing the right system for a home to selling the largest system a loan could support. Somewhere along the way, the homeowner stopped being the priority.

Now, as incentives change and easy money disappears, the industry is being forced to reset. And that’s not a bad thing. It’s a chance to get back to basics and put people first again.

That’s exactly why we built Revive at issho. We don’t believe you can just add solar and call it sustainable anymore. Homes are living systems. Energy, water, air and food systems all influence each other and need to be designed together.

This feels like the early days of solar again, but better.
