Have questions about what's happening in Aspen? Stop by the city of Aspen booth at the Saturday Market on Aug. 15 to chat with Council members Christine Benedetti and Sam Rose.

From 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Rose will join the engineering department and city rangers who will be providing safety information about e-bikes, pedestrians and motorists on city streets and trails.

Benedetti will join staff from the Wheeler Opera House from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Both council members will be on hand to field questions and talk to members of the public about city projects and initiatives, including the new Armory Food Hall, Aspen's Strategic Plan and ways to connect with the city.

What if a beautiful garden didn’t require a lot of water?
We met with Mike von Grey to learn how he’s created a thriving garden using plants that are naturally suited to Aspen’s environment. Even during Stage 3 drought restrictions, Mike’s garden continues to flourish while using fewer resources.
His approach shows that sustainable landscaping can be beautiful, resilient and perfectly at home in Aspen.

This week, take a break from the traffic and enjoy “Traffic Jams” at the Wheeler Opera House Vault. Larry and Joe will perform live music beginning at 4:30 p.m. Admission is free.

The Wheeler Opera House and the Transportation Department are partnering to bring these jam sessions to the community, offering visitors and residents another option during peak traffic hours.
