The City of Aspen is helping local landscaping businesses make the switch to cleaner, quieter equipment. A new pilot voucher program provides financial assistance for electric leaf blowers, batteries, and portable charging stations. The program supports local businesses, reduces noise and emissions, and helps keep Aspen compliant with its ban on gas-powered leaf blowers.
Applications are open now through June 20. Visit the link in our bio to apply.

Today, we are excited to share an inspiring story from the Aspen School District and how its Waste Diversion Program has become a success throughout the schools.
This program aims not only to support recycling, composting, and the repurposing of materials—helping reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change in our valley—but also to educate students and foster lifelong sustainability habits.
The success of the program is the result of strong teamwork among students, teachers, kitchen staff, custodians, and school leadership. By working together, they have created a culture of environmental responsibility that extends beyond the classroom and into the community.
Today, members of the team are sharing their testimonials about their experiences with the program, the challenges they have overcome, and the positive impact their efforts have had on the schools and the environment. Their stories highlight how collaboration, education, and commitment can make a meaningful difference in building a more sustainable future.
