Advisory: Raynham, Taunton, Berkley, Freetown, Fall River
Ancillary Structure Inspections on Route 24 Southbound
Nightly, Monday, July 27, through Thursday, July 30, from 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. the following morning
RAYNHAM/TAUNTON/BERKLEY/FREETOWN/FALL RIVER - The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing that it will be performing ancillary structure inspections on Route 24 southbound between mile markers 23.5 and 19.5 in Raynham, and between mile markers 14.7 and 8.3 in Taunton, Berkley, Freetown, and Fall River. The work is scheduled to take place Monday, July 27, through Thursday, July 30, between 9:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. the following morning. Work is anticipated to be completed by Friday morning, July 31.
Lane closures on Route 24 southbound will be in place. Temporary traffic alterations, including lane and shoulder closures, will occur as needed. At least one lane of travel will be maintained at all times, and police will assist with traffic control and safety setups.
Appropriate signage and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.
Drivers traveling through the affected area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
