Fire engine drafting is the process of pulling water from a static source (like a pond or portable tank) into the pump using a vacuum.

The monthly tornado siren test is scheduled to take place at approximately 10:00am this morning.

** All Clear **

There has been a gas leak reported at 119 South Hickory. The area is being evacuated and the fire house is being offered as a cooling station for the affected residents.

Please keep clear of the area!

Important Notification. The tornado siren system is nearing completion and will be activated shortly. There are no severe weather conditions in our area at this time.

🛑ATTENTION ASSUMPTION RESIDENTS🛑 The new emergency siren will be installed tomorrow Tuesday June 16th. If you hear sirens don’t be alarmed they will be testing them. Completion should be done by mid afternoon. Will update when everything is installed and completed.

Two possible outcomes for tomorrow.

● Outcome 1: The morning storms and
cloud cover linger through the afternoon,
limiting warmth (fuel) for the evening round.

● Outcome 2: If coverage of morning and
early afternoon storms is lower, a more
volatile atmosphere will favor more intense
evening storms capable of very large hail
and tornadoes.
