Two possible outcomes for tomorrow.

● Outcome 1: The morning storms and
cloud cover linger through the afternoon,
limiting warmth (fuel) for the evening round.

● Outcome 2: If coverage of morning and
early afternoon storms is lower, a more
volatile atmosphere will favor more intense
evening storms capable of very large hail
and tornadoes.

Basic Pump Training 04-16-26. Gratitude is expressed to Les Lockwood, IFSI instructor, for teaching the class and to the volunteers from Assumption, Pana, and Mowequa for their participation in the training.

An IFSI Basic Pump Operation class will be hosted by the Assumption Fire Department on April 16, 2026, starting at 6:00pm, and registration can be completed through the IFSI website.

UPGRADE TO A LEVEL 3 RISK! A level 3 risk is now in place for northern and central Illinois for Thursday's setup.

This is a more serious setup, with tornadoes and damaging wind gusts as the primary hazards. Some of these hazards could be significant.

If you live in the risk area, this is the time to start paying close attention and adjust any outdoor plans.
