Melissa is an Aston resident and parent of two AES students. She is a former public high school teacher, volleyball coach, and newspaper adviser. ​In addition to her practical classroom experience, she has a master’s degree in child and adolescent developmental psychology, and she is committed to cultivating a healthy environment for the mental, emotional, social, and physical needs of the whole c

hild. She is a strong advocate for teachers and school staff, supporting their creativity and expertise as professionals in the field. She is excited to serve and support the Penn-Delco School District as a Board Director. Excellence in education requires active participation, open communication, and an interest in all perspectives. She will work to give a voice to every stakeholder within our community and will strive to be a Leader Who Listens.
