A bittersweet day at the library! It is with great sadness that we say goodbye and best wishes to our dear library friend, Tara Convery. Tara has been working at the library for almost twenty years and she has left an indelible mark on her coworkers and on our patrons. She always had a smiling face at the front desk, was an eager collaborator on ideas and projects, had a vision for displays and programs, was always happy to support a theme, event, or initiative, and she embodied the Franciscan values like few could hope to. Her work ethic was strong, but it was her character and personality that made her a transformative presence in our library. She lifted others up, brought humor to situations at just the right moment, and truly made the library a brighter place with her presence.
This is a happy farewell, though, as Tara is moving on to put her recently earned Neumann degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling to use. She will take her talents, her companionship, her innovative spirit, and her contagious laughter into her new role. We will all miss her at Neumann and we will miss all she brought to our library and our campus.
“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” A.A. Milner
