🚧 🚨 🚘 TRAFFIC ALERT 🚘 🚨 🚧

ASTON TWP, PA β€” Drivers in Aston Township should prepare for daytime road closures and detours as PennDOT crews perform base repairs on Route 452 (Pennell Road) beginning Monday, August 3.

At a Glance
Roads Affected: Route 452 (Pennell Road) between Old Pennell Road and Glendale Boulevard
Dates: Monday, August 3, through Thursday, August 6
Times: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Reason: Base repair
Route 452 (Pennell Road) will be closed daily between Old Pennell Road and Glendale Boulevard during construction hours. Drivers will be directed to use Knowlton Road, Route 352 (New Middletown Road) and Glen Riddle Road around the closure.
Local access will be maintained throughout the project, but motorists should plan extra time when traveling near the work zone or along the posted detour because backups and delays may occur. Seek alternate routes when practical, particularly during the morning and afternoon travel periods. All scheduled work is weather dependent and may be postponed if conditions are unfavorable.

The repairs are intended to strengthen the roadway base before future resurfacing work, helping improve the long-term condition of this heavily traveled corridor.
