Aston Township is proud to invite our United States Military Veterans and Active Duty Service Members to a FREE Veterans Appreciation Dinner in recognition of their service and sacrifice.

The dinner will immediately follow the Rotary Flags for Heroes Ceremony.

At last night’s Board of Commissioners meeting, Aston Township proudly presented James Pearson with a proclamation honoring his bravery and lifesaving actions.

On July 18, 2026, Mr. Pearson responded without hesitation when alerted that a child was drowning in a neighboring swimming pool. He entered the pool and brought the child to the surface, allowing family members to begin lifesaving care.

His quick thinking and selfless actions played a critical role in saving the child’s life. Please join us in thanking Mr. Pearson for his courage and willingness to help a neighbor in a moment of great need.

Just a reminder that tomorrow, October 12th, is Columbus day. All Township offices will be closed and there will be no trash pickup. Mondays trash and recycling will be collected on Tuesday.

This has been a momentous week in Aston Township hosting the Wall That Heals. Tonight, we have a special world premier of the documentary 9000 Miles to Delco: Delaware County Made Them. Vietnam Changed Them. The film features several Delaware County Vietnam Veterans and allows them to share their important stories.

🇺🇸 The Wall That Heals is now open in Aston Township.

From the es**rt’s arrival through setup and into this morning, these photos capture the dedication and community support that brought this tribute to life.

Thank you to the es**rt riders, volunteers, first responders, staff, and everyone who helped prepare the site and welcome The Wall to Aston Township.

The Wall is now open 24 hours a day during its stay. We invite you to visit, reflect, and honor those who served and the more than 58,000 names inscribed on this memorial.

Please join us tonight, October 8, at 6:00 PM for the Opening Ceremony. 🇺🇸
