The Hardest Roof to Build?

We love this Hexagonal Container Home, but framing that roof is a nightmare for carpenters. Connecting 6 different container roofs to a central peak requires complex geometry.

The Argument:

👍 Team Geometry: "It's worth the headache! The high ceiling in the center makes the house feel huge. It allows for a central gathering space that standard container homes just don't have."

👎 Team Simple: "It's too expensive. The labor cost to frame that custom roof kills the budget. I would have just placed two containers side-by-side and cut out the middle wall."

The Portland Housing Bureau has found roughly $20 million in additional unspent funds, two city councilors say, on top of another pot of $21 million that the housing bureau found late last year.
