presents INEXTINGQUISHABLE
We are excited to welcome back the inimitable M.J. Anderson for her fourth solo exhibition, INEXTINGQUISHABLE, at Imogen. Known as a dynamic powerhouse, Anderson has been sculpting marble for over 40 years, working from two studios, one here on the North Coast of Oregon (Nehalem) and the other in Carrara, Italy near the quarries where she quite often sources her marble. For this series, she focuses on the metaphor of flame. Her work, through her own voice and experience, brings the storyline of history, echoing the past, present and future. M.J. Anderson will be present and available to answer questions about her work the evening of Artwalk, 5 – 8 pm, Saturday, August 9th
in.astoria presents Dream State – Kim Warsheski
Dream State is an immersive installation of paintings and sculptural works by Astorian artist Kim Warsheski. In this watery dream state, viewers are invited to step away from the fire and chaos of the world—to slip into stillness, and hold close the people and places that ground them most.

There's more sea lions in Astoria than ever before! Or...at least it will sound like it. Come to patio for the ADHDA's 1st ever Sea Lion Calling Contest this Thursday, 7/24. Free sign ups for kids and adult divisions start at 6, and the barking will start at 7! Participation prizes for every sign up!

Thanks to the and courts for being our judges!

Judges will be looking for: tonal accuracy, projection, mannerisms and behavior, and appearance
