Knappa Fire District The Knappa Fire District provides fire suppression, emergency medical care, and rescue services to the communities Knappa, Svensen, and surrounding areas.

Fire Season begins on Monday, June 15. Open burning will be banned at that time. Burn Barrels and campfires are allowed with permits. Permits may be obtained from the Oregon Department of Forestry - Astoria District. They may be reached at 503-325-5451.
