Fire Season ends TOMORROW, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2025, at 12:01 a.m.

Open burning will once again be allowed.

The District would like to remind everyone to please burn responsibly. Many of our large fires in Clatsop County have occurred outside of fire season during dry, cold, east-wind days in the winter.

73% of Oregon’s fire departments reported a "moderate or significant decrease" in the number of volunteer firefighters over the past five years.

The District was happy to host a station tour of Mrs. Johnson’s second grade class from HLE today. They learned about fire operations and what we keep on our trucks.
