At 6:52 Sunday morning, Atchison County Emergency Services was dispatched to the area of 254 and Cheyenne Road. For a report of a single vehicle accident with a total of 3 patients. At approximately 7:05, the first of many first responders was on the scene. All patients were extracted and sent to the appropriate trauma facility. This couldn't have been done without the dedicated staff of Atchison County Rescue, Atchison County EMS, Sheriff's Office, Effingham Fire Department, Atchison County Communication Center, Life Star of Kansas, and Health Star One. Our thoughts and prayers are with the patients and their families.
