National Transportation Week Fun Fact: Project Concern has played a part in moving goods & our citizens since April of 1967 when it was established with Francis Strieby as the director. Transportation was provided by volunteers for trips to area doctors using private vehicles. On July 30, 1973, the Meals on Wheels program was introduced and about the same time, a small bus was purchased for the transportation program. The transportation program is no longer limited to seniors but is available to the general public allowing anyone in the community to use the service.

🚌Did you know that it's National Transportation Week? 🚗

National Transportation Week kicked off yesterday—and this week, we celebrate the vital role public transportation plays in connecting our community, supporting local businesses, and helping people get where they need to go safely and reliably every day.

Thank you to our dedicated drivers, dispatcher, mechanics, and office staff who work hard each day to provide dependable service to our passengers. We could not do this without each of you!

Good morning, all! We appreciate everyone who continues to support our centers. My apologies for the delay in updating on our past fundraisers. We had a great turnout for both our music bingo and baked potato bar/bake sale. We raised $1,195 from music bingo at Servaes Brewing Co. and $2,229 from the baked potato bar/bake sale at our Town & Country center. Thank you all who helped make each of these events possible & an absolute success❣️

Our centers have two fundraising opportunities happening in the month of May. The first one is this Saturday, May 2nd at the Servaes Brewing Company down at the Riverfront. We have been asked to provide the lunch for their Maifest Spring Celebration.
The second event is Sunday, May 10th at the Kiwanis Flea Market. We will have a booth selling items. Being as we are the only agency providing a senior nutrition program & general public transportation in Atchison County, all proceeds from both of these sales will go directly to our centers to help support these services.
So come out & join us. We hope to see you soon!
