Great idea!

Today I am 600 days SOBER!
Here is everything I've gained during this sobriety journey -
1. My first relationship with someone who treats me the way I've always prayed for
2. A new iob and a raise
3. My first rental property to bring in extra income
4. An amazing relationship with my family
5. Became a dog mom ∞
6. Moved-in with with my significant other
7. Best mental health I've ever had
8. Best physical health I've been in
9. Learned how to manage my anxiety without mind-altering substances
10. Got myself and my confidence back
11. No longer suicidal & the list goes on and on!
* I know I would have none of this if I didn't get sober because it was everything I prayed for when I was using.
Sobriety is possible. Recovery is worth it!

7 days is the longest I've gone now in the last 2 years without an evening bottle of wine usually reoccurring every 2-3 days and then when do get together with friends I just hit it.

My mother died very suddenly a couple of years ago and I subsequently fell into the trap of drinking as a way to "cope" with my loss. While being a functional Mum, Wife and friend to the most special people there have been many moments when I just needed to be held and a bottle of wine felt like an alternative to Mum, like wrapping myself up in a big fluffy duvet but really the reality is it's a toxic relationship, lifting me up momentarily to then inevitably dull and depress me afterwards.

Fortunately Mum has been there all the way, showing herself in the rainbow cast on my sign

The crazy thing is before Mum died I had been 8 years sober so know I can do this, but it's still terrifying however I know she's with me.

UPCOMING~~6-9 PM
Atchison Lions Club will have a booth at this First Friday (July 1st) Event in downtown Atchison....We will have
some awesome baked items....cakes, cookies, pastries....yep....lots of goodies....come see us then!!
All funds go to assist individuals in need of eyeglasses and eyecare....We also will have a box to receive any used eyeglasses you may have that you don't want anymore.....

President Ronald Reagan was a member of the Dixon Noon Lions Club (Life Member). President Jimmy Carter still serves as a member of the Plains Lions Club. President George W. Bush became an honorary member of LCI during the 101st Lions Clubs International Convention in Las Vegas. Proud to be a Lion!
