The AMS KAY Club is proud to present this week's AMS Kind Award winner to 8th grader Landon Myer! He was nominated by Mrs. Grable. She says, “Landon found a gift card on the floor outside my classroom, and rather than keep it for himself, he turned it in to me.” Congratulations Landon!!

It was great fun to help at the VFW Auxiliary Halloween party today. Members of NHS along with art students worked the games and face painting booth. Thanks to Mrs. Ball and the Auxiliary for inviting us to join them.

Congratulations to Camilo Humphrey for being this week's Phoenix of the Week at AHS! He was nominated by Mrs. Aversman, she wrote, "Camilo was in class with several of my freshmen. He gave them some great advice and also told them that if they ever felt overwhelmed he was willing to help them! Camilo is a genuine leader!"

This is my last post as NHS Adviser. It has been a wonderful eight years. In that time I have worked with delightful students and their families. Thank you for being supportive to the organization and the student members. I am leaving the group in the capable hands of Dr. Paul Ogle.

Madi way to go

Congratulations to Madilynne Bruce & Carissa Smith on winning the Atchison Booster Club scholarship!

The booster club scholarship applicants must have a 2.5+ cumulative GPA, a minimum of AHS mandatory service hours, provide an essay answering specific questions, and provide proof of acceptance to the college of their choice.

The scholarship committee consisted of two retired Atchison teachers as well as two currently in the education field.
