Meeting tonight at the High School for anybody interested

A community meeting is scheduled for the Paradise, Hagen, and Horse Ridge Fires on Friday July 24th at the Weston-McEwen High , 540 E Main St, Athena, OR 97813
6:00 PM.

Sounds like the pool is planning to open today! If the air quality changes drastically they will have to close but for now, see you all at Noon!

Due to air quality, the pool will be closed again today, 7/22.

Swim lessons previously scheduled for July 20-30 are rescheduled and will now take place July 27-August 6, Monday-Thursday.

If you’re already signed up and those dates don’t work you can cancel registration or transfer your registration to the 3rd session August 10-20. Please call City Hall Monday 7/27 to make these changes.

Tuesday 7/21
The Athena pool will be closed again today due to air quality. Swim lessons are also canceled for the day.

Reminder: City Hall is on limited hours and services this week. Next Monday will be back to normal.

Information for the City of Athena!

City Hall is on an adjusted schedule July 17-25.

Friday, July 17 - Closed
Monday July 20-Thurdsay July 24 - Only open 12-4pm with limited services offered
Friday, July 24th - Closed

Regular hours start again Monday, July 27th

The swimming pool will be open regular hours during this time unless air quality drops and forces an early closure. If this happens, they will post a sign outside the pool.

Swim Lessons - session 2 starts July 20th - payment must be received prior to starting. Any payments left in the drop box outside City Hall will be processed prior to 10:00am on Monday. This is the only way for payments to be received after 4:30pm today.

The City is without power and phone lines are down. You can message the city here on fb if you have an emergent need during the fire emergency.

Please keep reviewing the Umatilla County Sheriffs page for updates. Watch Duty is also a great app to keep notified of fire changes.

The City of Weston is on a level 3 evacuation notice, the High School has been named as the shelter spot for anyone in need.

Shelter is open at the High School here in Athena located at 540 E Main. The City of Athena is closely monitoring the situation and will update as needed!

Water Meter Replacement Project Starting Soon!
Hey neighbors! Over the next couple months, you might see some friendly faces working in your yard or near your property. Don't panic! Our team is hard at work replacing and upgrading city water meters.
