📢 Big news for the future of our communities!

The Athens Housing Authority is preparing to submit our application to HUD for the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program — an important step toward preserving and improving affordable housing in Athens for generations to come.

What does this mean?

🏠 Stronger, more reliable funding to repair and renovate our properties
🔨 Long-overdue improvements to homes across our communities
✅ Resident rights fully protected — rent stays based on your income, and no one loses their home because of RAD

This is the beginning of the process, not the end. Over the coming months, we'll continue holding resident meetings at every property, answering your questions, and keeping you informed every step of the way.
