Congratulations to AHS Graduate Tyson Rich!

Tyson made the ultimate power move, missing his graduation ceremony to compete against the best at the State Tournament on Lake Texoma this weekend.

He weighed in at 12.20 lbs on Day 1, putting him in 15th place with the final round wrapping up tomorrow. You might not have walked the stage at AHS, but seeing you walk that State stage is even better.

Bring it home tomorrow! We are rooting for you!

Last night at our Evening of Excellence, seniors were recognized for their hard work and achievements as they received scholarships, honor stoles, and industry certifications. We are proud to celebrate the dedication, perseverance, and success of the Class of 2026 as they prepare for their next chapter.

Congratulations to Valedictorian Gaden Riquelme and Salutatorian Gage Stasko on this incredible achievement. Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence have truly set them apart, and we look forward to seeing all they accomplish in the future. Congratulations, Gaden and Gage!

Athens High School celebrated the Parade of Graduates!

Our seniors proudly walked in honor of the paths they’ve chosen after graduation; college, trade school, military service, or entering the workforce.

After the parade, students gathered in front of the high school to plant their signs, showcasing their future plans for the entire community to see.

We are incredibly proud of the Class of 2026 and excited to watch them take the next step toward their future.

🎓 Graduation is almost here! Be sure to study the parking map ahead of time so you’ll know your options for the May 29 commencement ceremony. The front doors of AHS will open at 5:30pm, and graduation will begin promptly at 6:30pm. As a reminder, balloons, flowers, noisemakers, face signs, and large displays won't be allowed inside the gym. The district's standard clear bag policy will be in effect.
