Traffic Alert: Madison Avenue Closure for Election Day

The City of Athens Public Works Department announces a temporary street closure in downtown Athens on Thursday, August 6, to accommodate the Primary County Election.

Closure Details:
Madison Avenue from White Street to Jackson Street6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Motorists are encouraged to use caution, follow posted detour and traffic control signage, watch for pedestrians, and allow extra travel time if driving in the area.
