Ok Everyone! Here is one of our first Call to Action! We all know these School Vouchers are a total SCAM! We need to contact our representative who is Mark Cochran! We know that Mark don’t really listen to the people he represents but we need to overwhelm him with calls and emails letting him know we want him to go against the expansion of the Voucher program! Now that we are a few days removed from the 3rd , We would like to thank first off every single person who showed up, honked their horn and cheered us on and everyone on the social medias who rooted for us to have a successful rally! We truly couldn't of done any of this without you. Secondly we would like to thank Anna Golladay for Congress - TN 3 for coming out to speak to everyone in attendance and give us one hell of a pep talk and morale boost! And lastly, We would like to give a special shout of to the Officer that patrolled around the Courthouse that day! City of Athens TN Police Department that was amazing of you and we really would like to thank you for helping promote and keep alive the use of the First Amendment! Now this is just the first of many events! So stay tuned to this page. Again Thank you all so much!

We would like to give a big thank you to Cloud Nine Nails for reaching out to us to be a donation spot for the Compassion in Every Cycle feminine hygiene product drive location in Etowah. They are located at 707 Ohio Ave in Etowah.

Something I want to share with everyone, we will be taking part in the Women's Hygiene pantry that is coming to the county. Anyone in need of hygiene products, specifically feminine hygiene products, (tampons, pads, wipes, cups, but we are here for ALL!)
Anyone who wants to support this initiative can drop supplies at the new shop in Etowah starting March 25th. We will also be supporting boxes in Athens and Sweetwater hopefully soon.
If you know a location that would like to support this cause please dm me so I can get them set up with a box.

There’s a piece of history right here in our backyard that too many people either misunderstand… or conveniently rewrite.

The Battle of Athens (1946) wasn’t about Democrats vs. Republicans.
It wasn’t left vs. right.
It wasn’t red vs. blue.

It was everyday citizens—returning G.I.’s from ALL political backgrounds—standing shoulder to shoulder against corruption.

They had just fought for freedom overseas… and came home to find it being stripped away locally.
So they did something about it.

Together.

No party lines.
No talking points.
No blind loyalty to politicians.

Just a shared belief: corruption has no place in a free society.

So here’s the question we should all be asking ourselves in 2026:

👉 Why can’t we do that again?
👉 Why is it so hard to look past political labels and stand united against corruption at the national level?
👉 When did we decide that defending a party mattered more than defending our freedoms?

Somewhere along the way, we stopped being neighbors and started being opponents.
And that’s exactly how those in power want it.

The spirit of Athens wasn’t about party loyalty.
It was about people power.

And if that spirit is going to live on for future generations, we need to stop whitewashing what really happened—and start asking ourselves what we’re willing to stand for today.

That’s why we’re inviting you to join us for the No Kings Rally at the McMinn County Courthouse on March 28th at 11am!

This is a peaceful rally.
A chance to stand together—no matter your political background—and say:

👉 We don’t bow to power.
👉 We don’t accept corruption.
👉 We don’t do kings in America.

We stand for accountability.
We stand for each other.
We stand for freedom.

As Woody Guthrie once said:
“This land is your land, this land is my land.”

Not theirs.

When someone holding public office openly says “We need more Islamophobia, not less,” that’s not leadership. That’s bigotry.

When a congressman pushes rhetoric suggesting Americans should fear an entire religion and implies people need to die before we “admit we have a problem,” that isn’t patriotism. That’s division politics at its worst.

This is the kind of garbage rhetoric that keeps Americans fighting each other while politicians rake in power and attention.

Let’s be very clear:

America was founded on religious freedom.
Not “religious freedom for the people you like.”
Not “religious freedom until a politician needs a culture war talking point.”
Freedom. Period.

What Rep. Randy Fine is doing here is textbook political fear-mongering. Stir up fear, point at a minority group, and watch the outrage machine spin.

And unfortunately, this is the kind of rhetoric that keeps getting cheered on by the MAGA echo chamber instead of questioned.

Here’s a thought for those repeating this stuff online:

Try thinking for yourself instead of repeating whatever outrage talking point got dropped into the group chat that morning.

Because if your politics requires demonizing an entire religion of 2 billion people, maybe the problem isn’t the religion.

Maybe the problem is the politics.

At Indivisible Athens TN, we’re going to keep calling this garbage out every single time we see it.

Hate isn’t leadership.
Fear isn’t patriotism.
And elected officials should damn well know the difference.
