Friends of D.R. Evarts Library

Friends of D.R. Evarts Library "The Friends of the D.R. Evarts Library formed in 1995 to give financial support to the library through membership dues and organization donations.

Our mission is to promote the library as a vital informational, cultural, educational, and recreational asset to our community. To assist the library with volunteer services and to raise funds for special projects and programs not covered by the library budget. Funds have been raised in support of the children’s summer reading programs, the purchase of a book return box and book cart, improvements

to the building, continuing additions to the adult and children fiction and nonfiction collections, and hospitality for library events.

Athens Victorian Stroll Saturday, December 11, 2021 🎄
A Free Family Event Featuring Music, Dance, Art, Food, Craft Vendors, and much, much more!

To make getting around the village easy, there will be a “free” horse drawn hay wagon and a motorized trolley running throughout the afternoon. 🎄

New events this year include an ice skating rink (bring your own skates), and there will be food and craft vendors located in the Athens Riverfront Park. 🎄

Please pick up a map and final schedule at Athens Cultural Center, 24 Second Street, starting at noon on the day of the Stroll. All activities begin at 1:00pm 🎄
