AUSTIN, Texas — The Honorable R. Scott McKee, Judge of the 392nd District Court, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Judicial Section of the State Bar of Texas, filling the unexpired term of Justice Mike Davis, formerly Presiding Judge of the 369th District Court, following his appointment by Governor Greg Abbott to the Twelfth Court of Appeals. Judge McKee also serves as the Region 10 Representative to the Texas District Judges Association.

Judge McKee served as District Attorney of Henderson County from 2009 to 2017 before being elected to the 392nd District Court in 2017. A former infantry officer and combat veteran, his combined experience as a prosecutor and trial judge brings a balanced, practical perspective to his service on the Board.

The Judicial Section of the State Bar of Texas supports the judiciary through education, ethics resources, and programs that promote the fair, efficient, and independent administration of justice statewide.

This trial WILL NOT interfere with Good Friday or Easter weekend. The jury selected on Thursday will report Monday, April 21st for trial.
