Last Friday, 22 classes of 4th graders from across McMinn County came together to learn about all things agriculture at the 2026 4-H and YF&R Farm City Day! From beef cows to forestry, we covered it all.

This event would not have been possible if it weren’t for the industry leaders who graciously volunteered their time to teach these young people about the importance of agriculture. We would also like to say a special thank you to our sponsor, McMinn County Farm Bureau, and to the teachers who support this event each year.

Today is the day!

McMinn County Junior Livestock will be hosting an interest meeting for those who might be interested in showing dairy cattle, sheep, or goats this year! This will be a quick meeting where we will share some important dates with you as well as answer any questions you might have. This is also a great networking opportunity for you to meet others in our county who have the same interests as you! Coming to the meeting does not commit you to anything, it simply is a time for us to chat about upcoming opportunities.

Thank you to all our Mother's who tirelessly completes the camp paper work, packs the snacks for livestock shows, encourages the kids to complete their 4-H projects, and loves and helps everyone be a better person! We see you and we appreciate you all!
