✨ Today the East Elementary says thank you to our AWESOME custodial team - Oscar, Cory, and Pat. Our students made cards and balloons, and the PTO gave each custodian a gift certificate to show appreciation 🫶

The people who clean and care for our building make it a place where kids can learn, and we're grateful for them. If you see them in the halls or out and about, please say thank you - today and year round!

This Sunday at the Community Center - Don't miss out on the Athens IRL Fall Kickoff event. Bring the kids to play gaga ball and talk about healthy ways to approach screen time for your kiddos 🙌

Meet other families interested in more “In Real Life” connections and mindful use of tech/screens.

Let’s prolong our kid’s childhood-Delaying smartphones, AI, and social media together!

Bring ideas of what you want to see in our community and schools.

Kids encouraged to come play outside- and learn how to play GagaBall!

Green and gold took over the streets! 🐾💚💛

Our East Elementary Bulldogs showed up BIG for the Athens Homecoming Parade this week. We packed a truck with proud students, decked it out in balloons, waved our "Go Bulldogs" signs, and tossed plenty of candy along the route.

A huge thank you to every family who came out, decorated, and rode along. And of course to our kids for bringing all the spirit ✨

Happy Homecoming, Bulldogs!

Our very own East Elementary art teacher, Mrs. House is the featured photo of the week in the Athens County Independent this week 🎨

You can see her talents on display on the bike shed at the Chauncey-Dover Trailhead Park. This was part of Baileys Trail System and Community Food Initiatives' Pedals and Pollinators event last month where the community came together to complete the mural and participate in other fun and educational events 🙌

East Elementary is rolling in the Homecoming Parade again this year, and we'd love to have you with us 💚💛

📍 Meet at AHS at 5:30
🚗 Parade starts at 6:00
🚶 Route is about 1 mile
🍬 Bring candy to toss if you'd like

Come cheer on our Athens Bulldogs! We'll have a truck decked out with spirit signs and green and gold balloons. There's room for some students to ride safely in the back, and the rest of us will walk behind cheering the whole way.

One note: guardians need to walk with their student. Hope to see lots of Bulldog families out there. 🐾
