Next time you visit, take a moment to admire our incredible new lobby mural, "The Stage of Memory" by Alex Maksiov! 🎨✨

This stunning new addition honors the Morton's golden era, legendary past performers, its history as an early movie house, and our visionary founder, Monroe Bowers “Pink” Morton.

We are deeply grateful to the ACCGov Public Art Program, the Athens Downtown Development Authority, and the Georgia Power Foundation for helping bring this vision to life. We can't wait for you all to see it in person!

During the pandemic, our building was closed for 588 days. While that came with challenges, we rode the waves and are still here as a part of Athens, Georgia's rich history and a cornerstone of Athens' Black history at that!

Generous funding from organizations like Fox Gives ensures our building's legacy can and will continue for generations to come. ❤️
