🎉 That's a wrap on Summer Camp 2026! ☀️💙

On Friday, we celebrated the end of an incredible 8-week summer filled with fun, friendships, and unforgettable memories!

This summer, campers enjoyed field trips, field day, water day, Kona Ice, a flag football game against Lay Park and friendly pop-in visits from the Athens-Clarke County Police Department. We were also grateful to partner with the Aaron Heard Resource Center, Athens Tutorial Program, Gaines Elementary, and Hilsman Elementary to provide engaging educational experiences.

A special thank you to our amazing camp counselors for your hard work, enthusiasm, and dedication. You made a positive impact on every camper and helped create a summer full of unforgettable memories!

Thank you to our campers, families, volunteers, and community partners for making Summer Camp 2026 such a success. We hope everyone has a wonderful school year, and we look forward to seeing you at future programs at Heard Park!

Hello Heard Park friends and family!

The final school bell has rung, the classrooms are quiet, and now it’s time for summer fun at Heard Park! Before Summer Day Camp officially begins, let’s take a look back at some of the fun moments, smiling faces, and memories made during our last few days of afterschool.

From laughter in the halls to fun with friends, we ended the school year making memories we’ll never forget. Now we’re getting ready for a summer full of exciting activities, games, adventures, creativity, and unforgettable moments.

We’re here to support families with completing the program scholarship application and ensuring eligible discounts are applied to accounts. This is a great opportunity to receive hands-on help and make the process as easy as possible.

Afterschool Rewind at Heard Park

The Heard Park Afterschool crew, with staff, enjoyed a fun field trip on the Walker Park trail with Allison and Heather. They walked the trail, learned fun facts about trees and nature, and played bingo for prizes along the way.

A great day full of laughter, learning, and memories.

On Wednesday, April 22nd, Heard Park will be closed in observance of Earth Day. The facility will reopen on Thursday, April 23rd under regular hours of operation.

Last Thursday, our Heard Park after-schoolers enjoyed a sweet adventure! 🍪✨

We visited Great American Cookies and Marble Slab Creamery Athens, GA, where the kids had a blast decorating their own cookies and enjoying some delicious treats.

Smiles, sprinkles, and lots of fun made it a day to remember! 💕
