As a reminder, the Village’s yard waste site is not a disposal site for garbage. Also, the site is only for use by Village of Athens residents, not for residents residing outside of Village limits!

The Village of Athens is accepting applications for a part-time summer lawn mower. This position is an occasional/as needed position throughout the summer. Applicants must be:
*18 years of age or older
*Self motivated with the ability to work independently
*Have riding lawn mower experience
*Have light mechanical knowledge

Pay range is $18-$20/hr

Applications are due to Clerk’s Office no later than 2pm on Wednesday, May 6th. Applications are available in Clerk’s office or on village website:

With the potential strong storms tonight, please be advised that in the event that the warning siren has to be activated that it will be activated for approximately 6 minutes followed by a 10-15 minute cool down period. It will then be activated for a cycle of 3 minutes on - 10 minutes off until the threat is over.

On Saturday, June 13th from 8am to noon, COM2 will be holding a FREE electronics collection in the Athens Municipal Building parking lot. This is open to the public!
