Athens City Schools Fine Arts This is the official page for the Athens City Schools Fine Arts Program. We provide learning opportunities for over 2,500 ACS students weekly.

Originating in the 1940s, The Athens City Schools Fine Arts Program is an integral part of the school system and the community. The program is made up of elementary music, visual arts, instrumental, theatre and choral activities that are designed to deliver a comprehensive and fundamental approach to each discipline. All of the these programs provide tools necessary for creating an aesthetic appre

ciation for multi-faceted artistic concepts. The goal of the program is to enable each child to experience a life-long application of art through participation of personal and professional activities. The program is currently in the process of a five-year strategic plan designed to showcase student art through new and innovative experiences within the community, region, state and nation.
