Out of this world cool!

We can reduce the need to send replacement parts and tools from Earth by having a 3-D printer on the International Space Station. Originally delivered to the station and tested in 2014, the 3-D printer heats a relatively low-temperature plastic filament to build parts layer by layer using designs supplied to the machine. Our superb student worker published this video of the design process and creation of a Proto-x quadcopter case. He used Autocad, a Makerbot Replicator, Inkscape, and a Full Spectrum Laser to complete his project! Awesome job Erick!
