Henderson County 4-H - Texas A&M AgriLife Extension

Henderson County 4-H - Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Henderson County 4-H is open to all youth in K-12 grade 4-H is completely run off volunteers. Each county has an adult leader association and 4-H council.

Each club leader, project leader, and parents graciously volunteer their time to help our youth develop, grow, and learn in their areas of interest. The 4-H program is supervised by a 4-H & Youth Development Extension Agent from Texas AgriLife Extension. These agents assist with putting on educational programs, organizing and planning events and community service, while coordinating and assisting

leaders with all information regarding 4-H. Our Adult Leaders, & Parent Association (ALPA) and Henderson County 4-H Council (youth) meet at the Extension office every 1st Monday of the month at 7PM to plan events, community service, fundraisers, etc. They also seek or meet the needs of individual clubs by giving the adult and youth leaders a chance to call on one another and the local 4-H Agent for help in their areas of need. At least one representative adult and youth is expected from each of the 14 Henderson County 4-H Clubs, but all in 4-H who wish to attend with a voice or need is welcome.
