The Mobile Food Pantry registration is now open for September 2026. Call (423) 746 - 5212 and leave your full name, phone number, and you're signing up for the mobile food pantry. Returned phone calls will be returned the week of the mobile food pantry with instruction of date and location.

Today's TWU 2026 event was a wonderful success for the LTNP. We had the opportunity to connect with a very large number of new and returning students, and grateful to learn more about our mission on campus. Students enjoyed free food and drinks throughout the event, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where meaningful conversations could happen. Many students were excited to discover the TWU offers a campus and community food pantry, and several visited the pantry afterward to experience student choice shopping and explore the wide variety of food available to them. It was a joy to meet so many students and to share how LTNP supports the TWU community. Today's turnout showed just how eager students are to engage, learn, and be part of something that strengthens our campus family. I want to thank all of our volunteers who participated today.

The Love Thy Neighbor Project food pantry will be closed today Tuesday, August 25, 2026, for community pantry services. There are no scheduled community appointments today. We will reopen for the community services on Thursday August 27, 2026, by scheduled appointments only. Today, Tennessee Wesleyan University (TWU) is hosting a meet and Greet event exclusively for college students on campus. During this event, students will have the opportunity to shop and learn about healthy food options and support services available through LTNP. Love Thy Neighbor Project at TWU would like to thank Chattanooga Area Food Bank for their support with LTNP hosting the mobile food pantry on Saturday 8/22/26. I would like to thank the McMinn County Health Department for coming to share free information with the community on services they provide. LTNP appreciates all the volunteers and their support and all the hard work they provide to provide free food to our community.

Love Thy Neighbor Project food pantry. To better serve our community, the LTNP food pantry operates by appointment only. If you are a current client and miss your scheduled appointment, a new appointment will be assigned for you to pick up your food on that scheduled day. New clients will also be scheduled for an appointment to complete the application and intake process. If you miss your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule. You may stop by the pantry during food pantry hours Tuesdays 9:30 am to 11 am or 1 pm to 3 pm or Thursdays 1 pm till 3 pm. Please do not come after these times for a reschedule, or you can call (423) 746 - 5215. When leaving a message, please provide your full name, phone number, and state that you need to reschedule your appointment. A staff member or volunteer will return your call and assist you with scheduling a new appointment. Love Thy Neighbor Project is having a free bread and cake giveaway today 8/14/2026 at 202 Green Street in Athens, starting at 7 am. Please bring your own bags/boxes. Today we have a limited supply and will go fast so come early. This is open to the community also. See you soon.

Important update from Love Thy Neighbor Project food Pantry. Several people have expressed concerns about the possibility of the pantry closing. We want to let everyone know the Love Thy Neighbor Project food pantry is not closing. We are grateful for the community's concern and support. Our mission to serve individuals and families in need remains strong, and we will continue providing assistance to those who rely on our services. Thank you for standing with us and helping us make a difference in our community.

The Love Thy Neighbor Project at TWU, in partnership with Father's Love Ministries, celebrated a fantastic success with our first Back-to-School giveaway. Families received free clothing, bread, donuts, and a special treat for the kids. Creating a joyful and welcoming atmosphere for everyone who attended. We were honored to serve several local families in our community, many of whom expressed deep gratitude for the support these items provided as they prepare for the new school year. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our volunteers. Their time, energy, and compassion made this event possible. From organizing donations to helping families find what they needed, our volunteers embodied the spirit of service and community every step of the way.

August Mobile Food Pantry is open. Please call (423) 746 - 5215. You must leave a message with your full name, a phone number, and you're signing up for the mobile food pantry. The week of the mobile food pantry you will receive a phone call giving instructions of appointment time and location. If you cannot make your appointment, please call the number above so another family could be place in that slot. Please notify us before Friday by 10 am the day before the mobile pantry on Saturday.
