Intergenerational storytelling helps strengthen connection, belonging, and understanding across generations, all important parts of building an age-friendly community.

During this free intergenerational storytelling workshop, participants will explore climate justice in Southeastern Ohio through poetry, performance, movement, and digital storytelling.

When: June 2. 3 and 4 from 10 AM–2 PM with Community sharing on June 4 from 5–6:30 PM
Where: Around Athens & Ohio University (locations TBD)

This workshop is facilitated by professional theatre-makers Lily Odekirk and Mateo Hernandez, along with OU Professor Sarah Ramey, in partnership with Ohio University Chaddock + Morrow College of Fine Arts.

The Athens City-County Health Department is collaborating with the Ohio National Guard, OhioDepartment of Health, Ohio University, and many local partners to offer a free health care event on Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2. The event is open to all Ohioans.

**We do NOT require identification to attend the Harm Reduction Clinic.**
The Harm Reduction Clinic will be held at the Health Department at 278 West Union Street. A harm reduction clinic is held every Wednesday, 12:30-3PM. Anyone can pick up Naloxone at the clinic to use if someone they are with experiences an overdose. Naloxone (and training on how to administer it) is also available by appointment at the health department. Call us at 740-592-4431 to make an appointment or for more information.

The OhioHealth Substance Use Navigator will be present. Local produce is also available thanks to our partnership with Community Food Initiatives!
